Quarterfinal Line-up Complete At The AEGON Masters Tennis

Added on: December 3, 2010

The quarter final line-up at the 2010 AEGON Masters Tennis will be headlined by a mouth watering match-up between Greg Rusedski and Goran Ivanisevic and a clash between South African Airways Rankings leader Thomas Enqvist and home favourite Tim Henman. In the other quarterfinals, Pat Rafter faces Henri Leconte, and Cedric Pioline meets Todd Martin.

Rusedski booked his place in the last eight with a trouble-free 6-4, 6-2 victory over Russia’s Yevgeny Kafelnikov. Ivanisevic breezed through his final group stage match 7-5, 6-3 against Younes El Aynaoui. Rusedski is anticipating a tough challenge against Ivanisevic, a fellow big-serving left-hander.

“My record against Goran is even worse than my record against Tim (Henman)!” said Rusedski, who trails Ivanisevic 9-1 in their head-to-head. “It’s not a great record, I only ever beat him once on Tour. I played him on the Champions Tour in the Algarve this year, he wasn’t playing too well and I still couldn’t beat him. Goran for me is always a challenge.”
