PAT CASH PLANS PERU TREK TO RAISE MONEY FOR ORCHID CANCER CHARITY

Added on: March 3, 2011

The 1987 Wimbledon champion and AEGON Masters Tennis favourite Pat Cash will undertake a trek along the ancient Inca trails to the lost city of Machu Picchu in Peru to raise money for Orchid, the male cancer charity.

Cash, a patron of Orchid, will join the trek at the end of April, starting in the heart of the Urubamba Valley.

“I believe everyone can do their bit in the fight against male cancer, whether it’s helping to raise awareness, promoting self checks, talking about male cancers, or raising money,” said Cash.

Orchid exists to save men’s lives from testicular, prostate and penile cancers through pioneering research and promoting awareness. Cash also supports other charities such as Do Something, GOAL and Planet Ark.
